Women's American ORT is a national Jewish organization that strengthens the worldwide Jewish community by empowering people to achieve economic self-sufficiency through technological and vocational education.

At a time when its schools require heightened security and its students need emotional and psychological support to deal with living in a country at risk, the Israeli government has re-allocated budgets to the critical effort of defense.

However, our 140 schools remain, as always, beacons of hope to nearly 100,000 students and 8000 teachers and staff... but those beacons seem dim.

Our teachers are weary.
