Thursday, Oct. 24 – Riga, Latvia

• 7 p.m.: Dinner - Official Opening of the Mission (You will need to arrive in Riga before the evening of Oct. 24. We will travel from Riga to Vilnius, and then back to Riga.)

Friday, Oct. 25

• Breakfast and briefing with Israeli Ambassador
• Official inauguration ceremony of ORT Technology Center at the Jewish Community Center with local officials, Jewish community leaders and representatives of international Jewish organizations
• Inauguration of ORT computer classroom in the Dubnov Jewish School, tour of the school and student presentation
• Festive lunch with Jewish leaders and local officials
• Jewish sites of Riga: Ghetto, Memorial Complex Bikermeki (during World War II, Jews from Western Europe were brought here and killed), Jewish Chabad School, the oldest in Latvia, which has existed in the same building since the mid-19th Century
• Depart for Vilnius, stopping for dinner in Panevezhis, a traditionally Jewish town
• Overnight in Vilnius

Saturday, Oct. 26

• Visit the Jewish school, meet with representatives of the local Jewish community
• Jewish sites of Vilnius: The old city that was the Jewish settlement, synagogue, Gaon’s Tomb
• Depart for Riga, stop for lunch in Bachkonis and then stop in Kaunas
• Tour of the Jewish sites of Kaunas, ORT properties, old synagogue
• Depart from Riga, dinner en route

Sunday, Oct. 27

• Depart for home destinations

Costs:

• Single Occupancy: $1,100
• Double Occupancy: $1,500

Accommodation – Grand Palace Hotel in Riga (5-star hotel, web site: www.besteastern.com/grh.html) and the Centrum Hotel in Vilnius (4-star hotel, web site: www.besteastern.com/cnr.html)

Costs include: 2 nights accommodation in Riga, 1 night accommodation in Vilnius, all meals, return transportation by coach from Riga to Vilnius, local transport, VIP arrival to Riga, airport transfers, interpreter and guide services.

Does not include transatlantic flights or airport transfers except as noted above.

Please note that a very limited number of suites are available in Riga and Vilnius and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Costs available on request.

VISA REQUIREMENTS - Please note that you if you hold an Argentinean, Brazilian, Mexican or South African passport, you will need to have a visa for both Latvia and Lithuania.
