It is imperative that we continue to support and advocate for:

• programs that protect and improve the health and welfare of needy children and families and help bring them from poverty to economic self-sufficiency.
• efforts by the United States government and human rights groups to make the world community aware of racial and ethnic bias, discrimination, trafficking, slavery and oppression wherever they may occur.
• humanitarian and diplomatic interventions to guarantee human rights under international law.
• national and international efforts to eradicate worldwide terrorism.
• the absolute right of all people everywhere to live in a healthy environment and the acknowledgement of our responsibility to preserve the natural resources of our planet for future generations.
• efforts to eliminate exploitation in the workplace and ban abusive employment practices that affect women and children.
• reproductive freedom for all women, including unrestricted access to information on all forms of family planning and reproductive health care.
• women's rights, including freedom from discrimination, harassment, physical or mental abuse, and protection from government-sanctioned atrocities.
• international efforts to provide life-saving knowledge and readily accessible services needed to treat or reduce the risk of HIV infection, especially in the prevention of transmitting the HIV virus from mothers to their children.
• responsible and ethical use of biotechnological research and discoveries, especially in the fields of genetics and cloning.
• increased attention in medical research to women's health concerns, and to gender equality in choosing test and research subjects.
